I want to complete a Homestead application and apply for an exemption.

To qualify for this exemption, you must own and occupy your home on the date you request the exemption. 

Please go to the DCAD website and enter your property address or account number by clicking here.

You may print the application from your account or you may be able to apply online. 

Complete the application and attach a copy of your valid Texas Driver’s License or other valid ID.  The address on the driver’s license/ valid ID  must match the property address.
