What effective date do I want to transfer my Age 65 or Disabled Person exemption?

You may transfer effective January 1^st of the year after you move to a new property or you may use the date you own and occupy the new property. 

If you choose a date after January 1^st, the request will be held until tax rates are set for the property you are moving from.  Tax rates are normally set in September of each year.
