What is the status of my ownership change?

Please allow 45 to 90 days for the deed to be processed.  The ownership change can be verified on the DCAD website.

After 90 days, please check our  DCAD website and enter your property address or account number by clicking here.

Scroll down to Exemption Details; exemptions granted for the current tax year.  Prior years are located on Exemptions History. 

If after 90 days our website does not reflect a homestead exemption, please contact Customer Service at 214-631-0910.
