How do I apply for Surviving Spouse of a member of the Armed Forces killed in Line of Duty?

The surviving spouse of a disabled veteran who qualified for the 100% Disabled Veteran exemption at the time of death, and

• you have not remarried since the death of the disabled veteran

AND

• the property was your residence homestead when the veteran died and remains your residence homestead.

You may obtain an application in our Property Records Exemption Division or request an application by phone at 214-631-0910 between 7:30 AM and 5:30 PM, Monday through Thursday and until 5:00 PM on Friday.
