I want to add my Disabled Veteran Exemption to a non-homesteaded property.

A disabled veteran is entitled to a flat exemption of a property the veteran owns and designates for the exemption and does not need to be occupied by the veteran. 

The exemption can be applied to only one property.  The application is available on the DCAD website under Forms. 

Please print the "Exemption Application for Disabled Veterans or Survivors" application form and submit it along with a recent (within one year) award letter from Veteran’s Affairs.
